Andy Caughey is founder and CEO of Armadillo Merino. Established in February 2011, the company designs and manufactures next-to-skin protective clothing for protective operators.
Armadillo Merino’s export journey started in January 2012 and they have been working with the Department for International Trade (DIT) since then. Italy was the first export market but now they work in over 35 overseas markets.
Belper-based company Armadillo Merino benefited from ERDF funding to launch the Armadillo Merino brand into the US.
This project is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020 in England.
